What are the requirements to rent a car from All States Car Rental?

To rent a car from AllStates Global Car Rental. you must have a valid driver's license, credit  or debit card present, in your name, at the time of rental that you pick up the vehicle. If you will be declining our insurance coverage, proof of insurance coverage will be required when you pick up the vehicle.

What are your age requirements for renting a car?

The minimum age required to rent a with us 21 years of age or older. If you are under 21 yrs of age please Check with the rental location manager for details. Additional charges apply to all renters under 25.

What type of credit card can I use to rent the car?

AllStates Global Car Rental. accepts all of the major charge cards listed below. The charge card must be in the renter's name. A minimum of $350.00+ plus the total amount of a car rental must be available on your debit card at the time that you pick up your selected vehicle. Why do you need my credit card for making reservation?
A credit card is required to secure advance reservations. No-shows will be charged a fee equal to one day rental unless cancelled 24 hours prior to pick-up.

What are your Driver's License Requirements?
The following driver's licenses are accepted by Global AllStates Car Rental Inc. in the United States:

A license issued by any United States state, territory, or possession. A Canadian province, a country that participated in the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic or the 1943 Convention on the Regulation of Inter-American Automobile Traffic or has a reciprocal agreement with the United States.

(International Driver License)
The Drivers license must be an original, be present at the time of pick up, and be in the name of the person who is picking up the car.

Will you accept an expired driver's license?

The renter's driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period. Expired licenses will not be accepted.

If I leave my license at home can I have a copy faxed to you?

No, AllStates Global Car Rental. will not accept a faxed license.

Is an International Driver's License accepted?

An International Driving Permit (IDP) serves only as a translation of a valid driver's license.

While helpful if you have a driver's license printed in a language other than English it is not mandatory in order to rent a Global AllStates Car Rental car. An IDP must always be presented in conjunction with the official drivers license of the issuing country.

Do you offer shuttle services for any of the offices?
LAX office offers free PICK-UP shuttle service during business hours.

Our LAX airport shuttle will pick you up at your LAX airline terminal and bring you to the LAX office located inside the LA QUINTA INN&SUITESl. Our Shuttle service will only travel to and from the LAX office and the LAX airport. Our shuttle will not bring you to your house.

 ( 24 hour return shuttle is available- however the pick up for the car must be during our business hours between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday to Friday and  9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM  on Sunday.

Cars may be returned after hours at LAX, @ the LA QUINTA INN& SUITES shuttle is available for use, however cars must be picked up during our business hours.
We will only pick up from surrounding hotels or businesses, not personal residences.
In the area ( 6 miles ) pick - up service is available with advance notice. If you are 6 miles or less from the location, you may arrange to get pick up service for your rental. Since this service is based on availability, please call the office directly in advance.

Where is the office?

Our office is located inside at the end of parking instruction of La Quinta Inn & Suites, across Mc Donald’s or La Cienega Blvd at 5249 W. Century Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90045. We are about 2 MILES away from the Los Angeles International Air Port LAX.

What is the LDW ?.
Loss Damage Waiver ("LDW"):
If the renter purchases one of the optional LDW plans, Global AllStates Car Rental will agree to waive the renter's responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle in full or in part (depending on the LDW plan accepted). LDW is not insurance.
LDW does not apply if: (I) the renter uses the vehicle in violation of the rental agreement; (II) the renter fails to remove the keys, or close and lock all windows, doors and trunk, and the vehicle is stolen or vandalized; (III) the renter fails to notify us and the police immediately after the loss; and (IV) the renter fails to pay the charges under the rental agreement; or (V) other exceptions as allowed by the applicable state or provincial law.

No brand guarantees

AllStates Global Car Rental. does not guarantee specific brands or colors of vehicles at any time. If the vehicle that you reserved is not available, an alternate or upgraded vehicle may be assigned at management discretion.

Local Policies

One-way rentals are based on availability, must be returned in CA, and a one-way service fee applies. Check for drop off details. Cars that receive unlimited mileage are approved for unlimited mileage in the state of California and Nevada only.

Contract Rates

If your vehicle is needed beyond the due date stated at the time of the opening of the contract, the customer MUST return to the original rental office and sign a new contract. The rate is subject to change. When a vehicle is reserved and rented, the confirmed rate is only good during that specific time period. Any extension or revision of the original reservation of any amount of time will result in a rate change. Rates are not pro-rated.

No Show Policy

Reservations are valid and honored for up to three hours after the requested pick up time. If the vehicle is not picked up within three hours of the requested pick up time your reservation status will be changed to a NO SHOW. We ask that you contact AllStates Global Car Rental if you need to change the date or pick up time of your requested vehicle to avoid any cancellation or problems.

Collision Damage Waiver

In California, the renter is liable for all damage to the AllStates Global Car Rental. vehicle regardless of fault. The renter is also liable for loss of use of the vehicle (revenue lost while the car is being repaired).
Renters may purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) which relieves them of all financial responsibility for loss or damage to the Global AllStates Car Rental vehicle as long as they comply with the terms of the rental agreement. In California, CDW does not relieve the renter for theft resulting from failure to use ordinary care. Cost of CDW will vary by car, group and rate. Please check with the rental agent or for details.
If you have rental car coverage through your personal insurance or charge card, CDW offers maximum protection while your personal insurance or charge card coverage may contain a deductible. If you have any questions, check with your insurance provider. Written proof of insurance is required at all of our locations.

Personal Accident Coverage

Personal Accident Coverage provides medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the Global AllStates Car Rental vehicle.
The renter is covered 24 hours a day during the rental for the following: $1,500 medical coverage for injuries due to an accident, $250 for ambulance expenses.

Supplemental Liability Insurance

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) may be purchased at time of rental, and provides renter with supplemental insurance coverage from the California State Limits of $35,000 to $1 million.

Insurance and Optional Services

Public Liability and Property Damage: Global AllStates Car Rental meets the financial responsibility laws of the State of California. In California, no liability coverage is provided to the renter/driver unless Renter's Liability Protection is purchased or renter provides proof of insurance as required by state law. Proof of liability coverage is required by state law. Proof of coverage would be your insurance card, or policy page from your personal car insurance policy.

Renter's Liability Protection

Renters may purchase Renter's Liability Protection (RLP) at the time of rental. Liability coverage is required in the state of CA. You must either provide written proof of coverage or purchase. Liability coverage does not cover your rental car, it covers any damage that your vehicle would cause to any 3rd party property. Liability coverage provides third party liability protection for bodily injury ($15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident) and property damage ($5,000) to third parties, as mandated and at the limits required by California. If you purchase the SLI/RLP protection package, it will provide third party liability protection for bodily injury and property damage in excess of any existing insurance, from the states minimum limits to one million dollars. Renters in California who purchase RLP will receive California required liability coverage. Check with the rental agent for cost and availability of RLP. Written proof of liability coverage is required at all of our offices if you will be declining our coverage.

WARNING TO RENTERS

WARNING TO RENTERS: Your personal automobile insurance carrier or insurance provided by your credit card company may provide some of the optional coverage. Please check with your insurance carrier and/or your credit card company before you purchase to avoid duplicative coverage. Please be advised that your optional coverage may be void if the damage or loss results from an authorized driver's (A) intentional, willful, wanton, or reckless conduct, (B) operation of the vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, (C) towing or pushing anything, (D) operation of the vehicle on an unpaved road if the damage or loss is a direct result of the road or driving conditions, (E) used for commercial hire, (F) used in connection with conduct that could be properly charged as a felony, (G) involved in a speed test or contest or in driver training activity, (H) operated by a person other than an authorized driver, (I) operated outside of the United States, (J) renter provided fraudulent information to the rental company, (K) carry hazardous material, or (L) provided false information and the rental company would not have rented the vehicle if it had instead received true information.

Driver's License

All drivers must have a valid driver's license in their possession to rent a vehicle. No copies or faxed licenses will be accepted at any time. The original license must be presented, and must be in the name of the driver. The renter’s driver’s license must be valid for the entire rental period.
An International Driving Permit (IDP) serves only as a translation of a valid driver’s license. An IDP must always be presented in conjunction with the official driver’s license of the issuing country.
Global AllStates Car Rental will not rent to a holder of a license that restricts them to daytime driving only or to business driving only.
A learner’s permit is not accepted. A valid temporary license is accepted with supporting ID. Expired licenses will not be accepted.

Second Means of IdentificationYou are required to also present a second means of identification with your signature. Any second means of I.D. with a signature is acceptable; such as a department store card, library card, etc. However, it should not be the same as the credit identification. (For example if you are using American Express for the rental, a different means of identification with a signature must be shown.) LOS ANGELES county residents, picking up a car at the LAX location are also required to bring with them at the time of car pick up , a utility bill from their currently home address with their name on it. Without this additional means of ID, the car will not be issued.

Pick up Policy

Domestic rental reservations will be held 3 hours from the booked rental time before the car is released. International reservations will be held for 4 hours from the booked rental time.
The LAX office is open Mon-Fri 8:00 AM –09:00 PM, sat/sun 09:00 AM –6:00 PM If you do not arrive by your scheduled pick up time, your reservation will be cancelled.

Rates and Currency

Rates are in U.S. dollars (USD). The rate of exchange at the end of the rental applies.
Taxes are additional.
Surcharges may apply. Please check at the time of rate information or reservation for the amounts of any applicable surcharges.

Additional Drivers

At the time of rental an additional driver must be at least 21 years of age, present a valid driver’s license, and complete an additional driver form. For certain vehicles, 25-year old age restrictions might be in effect. An authorized driver for a disabled renter is exempt from the additional driver credit requirement.
There is no charge for additional drivers for rentals beginning at this location. However, all additional drivers must have their own credit card, in their name, present with them at the time of the rental.
There is no charge for one added driver if over the age of 25.

Special Services

Child Safety Seats are available at this location with a minimum of 24-hour advance booking. The cost of the Child Safety Seat is $4.50 per day. Since availability at times is limited, please reserve child seats in advance.
Ski Racks are not available at this location. Snow Chains are not available at this location. Global AllStates Car Rental vehicles are equipped with all weather tires

Our rates and you are charged

Our rates are on a 24-hour time clock, and you are given a 29-minute grace period to return your vehicle, before it turns into another day charge.

Contract Violations

Contract violations include, but are note limited to: 1. Driving the vehicle outside of CA or NV 2. Driving while intoxicated 3. Towing of any sort 4. Failure to return the rental vehicle by due date 5. Operation of the vehicle by someone who is not listed as an authorized driver on the contract 6. Failure to pay all charges listed on the contract at time of return.

Drop off policy fees

If arrangements are made in advance, you may pick up your vehicle at one of our location and return to another location or city. The drop off fee begins at $70.00. Please contact a location manager for your exact fee.

GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

Most of our vehicles are not equipped with a GPS navigation system. However, GPS systems may be rented at the counter when you rent your vehicle based on availability. For additional questions regarding GPS systems please contact the office directly.

Vehicles Leaving California

Global AllStates Global Car Rental vehicles are permitted to enter California and Nevada only. If your rental agreement states "unlimited" mileage, it is unlimited mileage in the State of CA and NV only. Vehicles are not permitted to enter Mexico at any time.
